Annual Maple Syrup Festival at LMC
March 9, 2008, Sunday 10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Lutheran Memorial Camp Fresh Maple Syrup on your pancakes tastes “sooooooo” good! Come find out just how good it is! Take a walk with a naturalist to learn how to identify and tap the maples, then help to collect the sap. Allow the sugaring mist to waft your way from over the boiling sap. Then see if you can tell the difference between non-maple syrup and the “real McCoy”! Maple donuts and sassafras tea are other satisfying treats found over the open fire. Tour the craft tables, then take home some “camp-made” goodies from the Maple Kitchen. Stock up on your yearly supply of Maple Syrup. Circle this date on your calendar and come on down! All proceeds go into the LMC Campership Fund, which helps children have a Christian camping experience they will never forget! Cost: $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for children (5-12 yr).
