Orienteering 101!

Call and schedule, often in the fall and winter.
8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Reading maps and following compass directions may seem pretty simple, but in fact can be pretty intimidating. Anyone who has been lost in a city, on a road, or in the backcountry will appreciate the skills of orienteering. Trained staff will show you how to confidently, use a map and compass while out in the woods. You will also be exposed to Global Positioning Systems, field compasses and historical methods of orientation. It is a lot of fun! Come on out and give it a try! A great opportunity for leaders of youth groups, scout groups and classrooms to experience this fine skill before teaching it. Also a plus for anyone desiring to go backpacking or back-country hiking.

Cost: $25 per person.

Call 419-864-8030 or email us for registration and information.
